I was about to buy a 2016 Jaguar F-Type from a dealer in Al Quoz and the car looked beautiful, but something felt off about the service records. Decided to book a Dubai Jaguar Pre Purchase Inspection with a mobile service that someone on here recommended, and man am I glad I did. The guy spent a solid hour and a half checking everything from the supercharger coupler to the differential mounts, and he found that the coolant crossover pipes were already seeping and the rear suspension bushes were cracked. The dealer didn't mention any of that, so I was able to negotiate a big chunk off the price. Paid 600 dirhams for the report and saved myself at least 8k in upcoming repairs. If you're looking at a used Jag here, don't skip this step seriously.

Coolant crossover pipe leaks are such a well known issue on these, glad the inspector actually knew to specifically check there instead of just a general glance under the hood. Dealers conveniently "forgetting" to mention known problem areas is honestly so common, good thing you didn't just trust the service records alone.

Cracked rear suspension bushes are easy to miss without someone actually getting underneath and checking properly, that's not something you'd catch on a test drive unless it was really bad already. 600 dirhams for that kind of catch is such an easy win in hindsight.

Supercharger coupler wear is one of those things that just doesn't show up unless someone specifically knows to check it, most generic inspections would completely skip that on an F-Type. Sounds like you found someone who actually knows these cars rather than just doing a walkaround and code scan.

Negotiating down after getting a real inspection report is exactly how it should work, dealers count on buyers not knowing what to look for or not bothering to check independently. Glad it worked out in your favor, that's a solid chunk of savings for a relatively small upfront cost.
