I'm hearing a squeaking noise from the back of my MG RX5 and it's driving me crazy
Okay so I need to ask if anyone else has experienced this because I'm at my wit's end here. I have an MG RX5 2021 that I bought used about eight months ago, and for the most part it's been a really solid car for my family. Plenty of space, decent fuel economy, and it looks pretty good too. But for the past month or so, there's been this squeaking noise coming from the rear of the car whenever I go over any kind of bump or uneven road surface. It's not super loud but it's constant and honestly it's starting to drive me absolutely insane. At first I thought maybe something was loose in the trunk, so I took everything out including the spare tire and the floor mats, but the noise was still there. Then I thought maybe it was the rear seats not being latched properly, so I folded them down and up again multiple times. Still squeaking. I took it to a small garage near my house and the mechanic sprayed some lubricant on what he said were the rear suspension bushings, but that only helped for about two days and then the noise came back. Now he's telling me I might need to replace some parts but he didn't sound very confident about which parts. I don't want to just throw money at guesses. I was searching online for MG specialists in Abu Dhabi and I came across 800sayara.com/mg-repair-abu-dhabi which seems to focus specifically on this brand. Has anyone here had a squeaking noise from the rear of their RX5 or any other MG model? What was the actual cause and how much did it cost you to fix it? Is this something I should be worried about from a safety perspective or is it just an annoying noise that won't hurt anything if I ignore it? I don't mind paying to get it fixed properly but I want someone who actually knows what they're doing with MGs, not someone who's just guessing and hoping something works. Any advice from actual MG owners would be really appreciated because this noise is making me hate a car that I otherwise really like.
