Helping an older parent manage weekends when family is busy
Weekends can actually be tricky for our family because everyone assumes they’ll have more free time, but plans and responsibilities still come up. An older parent may need some help with groceries, meals, laundry, or getting around, and sometimes all the family members are unavailable at the same time. They’re still independent and want to remain at home, so we’re not looking for someone to completely take over their routine. I’ve been researching home care Columbus options to see if occasional support on certain days could make things easier. Having someone available when family members are busy could help fill those gaps without changing the way our parent normally lives. We’re trying to figure out what type of schedule would actually be useful rather than arranging more help than they need.
