Grow a Garden 2 Speed Movement Guide: Walk Faster Tips
If you've been playing Grow a Garden 2 for more than five minutes, you already know the struggle. Walking back and forth between your personal garden plot, the seed stand, and the sell stations can start to feel like a massive chore, especially when you are just trying to optimize your gold per hour.
Luckily, you don't have to settle for that sluggish default walk speed. By strategically combining permanent pet passive boosts, map teleportation shortcuts, consumable store gear, and some genuinely hilarious physical terrain collision glitches, you can completely eliminate slow travel times. Here is exactly how to pick up the pace and get across the map instantly.
Permanent Walk Speed Upgrades
If you want a baseline speed increase that never goes away, your best bet is focusing on your pets. In this game, pet passive bonuses stack, meaning the more speed-focused companions you equip, the faster you will sprint by default.
In the early to mid-game, you want to focus on a Bunny Stack. Each Bunny pet grants a permanent +5 Walk Speed bonus. When you start out, you can equip a maximum of three pets, which nets you an immediate, effortless +15 speed boost.
Getting your hands on them is pretty straightforward. You can either buy Bunnies directly from the map for 20,000 Sheckles each, or try your luck hatching them from Common Eggs, which have a fairly generous 30% drop rate. Once you push into the late game and unlock more pet slots, you will want to replace them entirely. The absolute fastest setup currently achievable is unlocking a total of eight slots and filling them all with Gray Mice, which you can hatch from大 Mythical Eggs.
Temporary Gear Store Boosts & UI Shortcuts
Pets are great for your baseline, but when you need an immediate burst of speed or want to bypass walking altogether, you should utilize the Gear Store and your built-in user interface.
If you have some extra Sheckles burning a hole in your pocket, buy Speed Mushrooms for 1,500 Sheckles. Consuming one gives you a massive, temporary speed surge that makes running errands around the map feel like a breeze. If you prefer a tool that lasts, save up 18,000 Sheckles for the Teleporter Wrench, which lets you blink across short distances continuously.
With that said, never forget the absolute easiest option right in front of you: free fast travel. The game’s UI actually includes dedicated buttons that let you instantly teleport directly to the Seed Shop, your Garden, or the Sell Stand. Get into the habit of clicking these instead of running manually; it saves an incredible amount of time over a long play session.
The "Mega-Plant" Physics Launch Glitch
If you want to move faster than the developers ever intended, you can exploit a hilarious physics bug that flings your character entirely across the map. It requires a bit of setup, but once you get the rhythm down, it becomes an incredibly fun way to travel.
  1. Grow Heavy Crops: First, you need to cultivate heavy, high-tier items like Celestberries or Bamboo in your plot.
  2. Overload the Weight: To get the physics engine to act up, you need the crop to be massive. Surround your growing crops with multiple high-tier sprinklers to boost their final weight until they reach around 12 to 14 kg.
  3. Execute the Launch Sequence: Pick up the giant fruit, switch your perspective into first-person mode, and turn on shift-lock. Face completely backward from the direction you actually want to go, and then simultaneously spam your jump key while moving backward.
If done correctly, the heavy object collision will violently clip against your character model, breaking the standard speed cap and instantly launching you across the zone. Just be ready to adjust your camera when you land!
